God’s Essence 

    As each series winds down, my mind goes to what we should delve into next and I ask the Lord to show me what He wants me to write about. Sometimes the answer comes right away and sometimes I have to discuss it with my most trusted human advisor, my husband. As we finished up the Identity series I had no ideas – nothing came to mind. My husband suggested writing about God’s Sovereignty. That got my mind turning and within minutes it was decided the topic would be God’s Essence. The more we discussed it the more excited I got. 

How refreshing to concentrate on God's perfection in the midst of the imperfection we have all around us. What a refuge. In order to have a close walk with our Lord, we need to know as much about Him as possible. God’s Word is one big explanation of who He is and what He has done for us. My prayer is that this study of who God is will give us peace in the midst of this chaotic world.
